TMAC organic holistic salon owner Tara McAdams and her husband have launched an organic smoked tofu business. Soaking their own beans and pressing their own blocks, the couple is using this as a test project before opening a fully vegan cafe.

“We wanted to start a business that would allow us to spend more time with our kids,” says McAdams, whose Mobile and Daphne salons offer spa treatments, organic hair services and supplements such as CBD and superfood mushroom blends.

“The tofu is sold in 7oz blocks and tastes like a firm smoked protein, great for any dish. It is awesome because there’s zero fuss over the ingredients... just beans and smoke,” McAdams says. Customers can purchase the tofu at both salon locations and online at HolisticHairapist.com.
