Natural Awakenings Gulf Coast Alabama Mississippi

Enroll Your Healing Hands in Massage, Reiki and Yoga

Alabama Healing Arts (AHA), Mobile’s locally-owned career college (Lic #S-131), is accepting enrollment applications for their three interactive learning programs. “These modalities are becoming more in demand as more people are wanting a natural alternative to improve health and well-being—especially those who are not candidates for medication,” says owner Kelly Laurendine. “A career in the healing arts allows for great flexibility, versatility and creativity. Most importantly, it is incredibly fulfilling to provide this type of care for those who need it.”

Evening classes for AHA’s next group of massage therapists begin March 2. After completing this 650-hour program AHA students have a 100 percent pass rate for the MBLEX licensing exam.

AHA Level I Reiki certifications will be offered during March and April. The one-day Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki curriculum certifies participants to give professional Reiki treatments.

AHA’s immersive Iyengar-style, hatha yoga teacher training begins May 30. The 200-/300-/500-hour weekends-only curriculum is registered with Yoga Alliance, so graduating students may become registered yoga teachers. It includes fundamental sciences, teaching methodologies, breath/meditation practices and in-depth yogic philosophy. Special rates apply for self-development-only students.
