Coastal Alabama Farmers and Fishermens Market

Connecting Local Consumers to Their Local Foods

The Coastal Alabama Farmers and Fishermens Market (CAFFM) in Foley is Baldwin County’s largest farmers market. Open Saturdays year round, the comfortable, covered facility provides local fruits, vegetables, seafood, meat, horticultural and agricultural products, baked goods and art to the general public. The market is also available as an event venue, transforming into an elegant open-air setting for weddings, receptions and corporate events.

“Our mission is to promote healthy foods from the bounty of the Gulf Coast and make them readily available to our neighbors from all over the area,” says Operations Manager, Alescia Forland. “We want the locals to come shop from our local farmers and fishermen.”

As a certified farmers market, only local products are available—vendors must be the original producer of all items being sold and all seafood has been caught in the Gulf. This promotes sustainability, supports the local economy and ensures tastier food. When produce isn’t bred for shipping quality and shelf life, it’s bred for flavor, handled minimally and often harvested within 24 hours.
